Our Approach

The goal was simple. Create a space where newbies and oenophiles alike can gather together with the same purpose. Relax, enjoy time away and live in the moment. No matter where you are in your passion for wine, Oscar’s Wine Bar wants to be your go to place.

Owner, Sonja Hanrahan, was on a mission to make wine fun, laidback, and a little less uptight while building a sense of community. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Sonja is focused on creating a serene, welcoming space for everyone; Wine Lover or lover of wine to be. Join us in our little corner of Hartford.

  • Sonja and her team are amazing! There's always a great selection of wine as well as beer and non-alcoholic options. They're also always hosting so many different awesome events! Atmosphere is top notch on top of it.

  • We had my bridal shower here and it was the most beautiful day. The owner was SO accommodating , she told us to make it our home for the day. We could move tables around how we liked to make our vision come to life. I also had a special request for some fun drinks to fit my theme and she delivered! I got so many compliments on how well the space tied into the shower theme and we didn’t have to do much decorating because it was already so cute inside. Highly recommend a special event here ! And the drinks were delicious:)

  • Decided to stop by one day after work with my co-worker. 2 other friends decided to join us last minute. It was so cute and quiet inside. Or friends were not drinkers and they chose 2 drinks from the NA options and they said they were delicious. As were our wines. Also got the charcuterie boards and it was delicious and adorable. We definitely will be returning. The moscoto was delicious.

  • My husband and I decided to give Oscar's a try. We were very pleased! The wine selection was superb. We each had a glass of wine. Then the owner help us decide on a bottle to share. The owner also made us a charcuterie plate which was excellent! 👍
