Pumpkins and Paintbrushes

November’s theme is “Gather”—an invitation to catch up with someone you’ve been meaning to see, explore a new place together, and enjoy the welcoming spaces our downtown businesses have created.
Start with a coffee, wander through participating shops, and stay for dinner. Discover an interesting find, meet a shopkeeper, or choose an evening activity to enjoy together. Make a few stops or settle in somewhere you love.
Hartford Christmas Parade
Celebrate the 40th Hartford Christmas parade. Step off is at 3PM. Stop in early to grab a seat, we have the best view around!
Chunky Knit Blanket Workshop
Join us for a fun evening making cozy blankets with delicious drinks and snacks!
Chunky knit workshops are perfect for beginners or experienced knitters! We will be making blankets with just our hands. Everyone leaves with a cozy new blanket in a blanket bag and a new skill. After the workshop you also get emailed instructions and yarn buying tips for future projects.
We make lap blankets that often end up full body blankets. I encourage you to choose what style you want, looser or tighter knit so blanket sizes vary. The very tightest knitting would create a blanket about 45x42 , most end up much larger
This is a pre register event - there are limited seats available and they are first come first served. There are 2 pricing options.
$65 - anyone who registers for this option will choose from the yarn colors I bring to the workshop
$85 - anyone who registers for this option will preselect their colors. This will be a premium yarn which is a bit softer and thicker. It tends to hide imperfections a bit better and there are a ton of color options. When you register for this option, you get an email approximately 4 weeks before the workshop to choose your colors. You will be able to choose 1 or 2 colors at that time. You can see the current colors available at the link below.

Grab your favorite flannel and spend the afternoon strolling through participating downtown businesses while sampling a variety of wines, discovering unique local shops, and enjoying the cozy charm of fall. It's the perfect opportunity to sip, shop, and experience everything Downtown Hartford has to offer.
Create you own 12" Resin and Glass Suncatcher
Come create one of my 12" crushed glass and resin suncatchers at Oscar's Wine Bar!
You'll choose your design and create your suncatcher using crushed glass, glass pieces, and resin. I have more than 20 designs available, including Sunflower, Butterfly, Hummingbird, Turtle, Dragonfly, Mountain, Lighthouse, Hibiscus, Flamingo, Palm Tree, Sunset, Daisy, Quilt, Duck, and several holiday designs.
Some designs are limited. If there is a specific design you want, you can preorder it when you register and I'll reserve it for you. Otherwise, I'll have a variety of designs available to choose from that evening.
Your $58 registration also includes a coupon for $5 off a beverage at Oscar's. Mini charcuterie trays will be available for purchase that evening, too.
The class takes approximately two hours. Because we're working with resin, you'll take your finished suncatcher home with you that evening and allow it to finish curing at home.
No experience is necessary. I'll walk you through the entire process.
Preregistration and payment are required.
You can register and pay by credit card using the registration link. If you'd prefer to pay cash, message me directly to register. Your spot and suncatcher design are reserved once payment is received.

Peonies and Platters
Uncorked & In Bloom -This school year is coming to a close. The to-do lists, the carpools, the chaos — all of it slowing down just a bit. And you should too, with one slow, beautiful evening that belongs entirely to you.
On Tuesday, June 16th from 6–7:30 PM, we're gathering at Oscar's Wine Bar in downtown Hartford for Peonies & Platters — an intimate evening of wine, charcuterie, and fresh-cut peonies straight from the farm.
You'll walk in, pour a glass, graze on a gorgeous charcuterie board, and spend the next hour and a half with your hands in flowers. Peonies are one of the most fleeting, breathtaking blooms of the entire year — and you'll get to arrange them into something that's entirely yours to take home. Anna Merkt of Little Local Flower Farm will guide you every step of the way, so whether you've never touched a floral arrangement in your life or you just love flowers, you belong here.
